Here is an enlargement of Engine No. 7 from the 1880s photo of New London Junction.

Engine No. 7 began service on the  Green Bay & Lake Pepin RR on June 6, 1873.  It was built by Grant Locomotive Works of Patterson New Jersey  for $12,250 and named CHARLES RUSSELL but soon renamed WINONA in honor of the Minnesota terminus of the railroad. ( I wonder what Charles Russell thought about that!)

Number 7 was probably the Green Bay Route locomotive which was sold to the newly-constructed Ahnapee & Western in November 1892, where it was renumbered A&W #1 and finally traded to the railroad car refurbishing company Hicks Loco And Car Works at the end of 1902 for A&W #3.  The history of the locomotive after that point is unknown.
