Question:
What classification light color do you display on the engine of an extra with a second section following? White, green or both white and green?

Answer:
Even though many people refer to locomotive class lamps as "markers", marker lights are used on the rear of the train. And since an extra train has no timetable authority it cannot have a second section; you simply run another extra -- so white flags/lights are displayed on both trains.  In the older railroad rule books it specifies use of flags during daylight and lights at night.
