Steam locomotive #351, Jordan Spreader X-190 and a couple of freight
cars were involved in a derailment in Sawyer, Wisconsin in the mid-1940s.

GB&W #351 was pushing plow X-190 through the south end of the
siding in Sawyer, and it appears that the trailing truck of X-190 picked
the switch point.  The 2-8-0 tried to follow; her tender then zigged
when the rest of the locomotive zagged, and a boxcar, loaded coal gondola,
and a second boxcar accordioned into the mess.
The wreck was pretty fresh in these photos, as the ol' #351 is still
steaming away as it lies on it's side!
Jordan Spreader KGB&W X-190 was acquired in the 1930s from the
Wisconsin & Michigan Railroad.  It is still in operation on the
Canadian National Railway (as of 2015).  This photo shows the X-190
is an early paint scheme.  It appears dark gray or black (the photo's
exposure with the snow makes it difficult to be sure).  KGB&W's
Hart convertible gondolas acquired from the W&M RR at the same time
appear to be painted black in other photos of the same era as this photo.
