The
December 2013 GB&W Historical Society magazine had an article
about the railroad considering to trade in five of their RS2s and
RS3s for five General Electric U23Bs in 1972 at a cost of $225,000
each. Instead, the railroad acquired five rebuilt Alco Centuries
from GE later that decade for $365,000 each. In hindsight, should
the railroad have traded for the U23Bs? |

- C&NW always had the best sculpured landscape
next to there mainlines in the major citys! I have yet
to find a close 2nd. Green Bay had that small town
alure like the little engine that could! They all will
be missed!

I
personally like them all, but honestly, from being around

unit in all the paint schemes

The
