"Homer E. McGee" #312 pauses between moves at "165," the Badger Sand & Mining
load out in Taylor, on December 5, 1992.

Working the load out tracks eastbound really gave the Alco 251-series prime movers
a workout as it meant coupling up to cuts of loaded 100-ton hoppers, then pulling eastward up a slight grade. The real show, as far as exhaust and sound were concerned, came when No. 2 departed Taylor starting uphill from a dead
stop.
