This postcard view is undated, but it probably comes from the prohibition era. After the passage of the Eighteenth Amendment.  Prohibition became the law of the land on January 16, 1920 and ended almost fourteen years later on December 5, 1933.

Who are these people in front of the Green Bay & Western depot? 

Certainly they are only pretending to be drinking, but why? Was this the last shipment of beer before prohibition? Or maybe the first one after? Unfortunately, I haven't found any clues in this photo to place a date on it, other than the icicles hanging from the eaves.

If you look closely right at the level of the top of the opening of the freight door at the far end of the photo, you can see what appear to be telegraph arms sticking out to carry the wires past the the station.
