The grain elevator dominates this view of Norwood Yard in Green
        Bay.

The grain elevator at Norwood Yard dominates the skyline of the west
side of Green Bay.  In the 1970s the elevator had a large GREEN BAY
ROUTE logo on both sides which was lit by spotlights at night.
In the foreground, RS-20 #308 sits with C-424s #312-313.  The
latter units still have gray trucks, although covered with a heavy coat
of road grime -- a vestige of the former red-and-gray
paint scheme of the 1950s and 60s. Like these two engines, a
few others kept the gray trucks for a few years after their bodies were
painted in the all-red paint scheme. The two boxcars behind the
engines gives a visual clue to how much the color of various
        "yellow" boxcars varied.
