Algoma Railroad excursion train at Casco Junction.
The Ahnapee & Western ran a series of excursion trips during the late
1970s and early 1980's. The trips went from Algoma to Casco Junction and
back -- the entire length of the Ahnapee & Western at that time. The
train had a brief layover at Casco Junction. This particular
excursion was run circa 1976. The train was pulled by an Alco S-4.
These are the same
passenger cars used
on a 1978 excursion, but with a
different loco.
